Look at some of these articles, in 2008 and even today about Obama's supposed lack of Christianity.

Obama Isn't a Real Christian, Cont'd - Steven Waldman
blog.beliefnet.com/.../2008/08/obama-isnt-a-real-christian-co.htmlAug 7, 2008 – Obama can call himself anything he likes, but there is a clear requirement for one to qualify as a Christian and Obama doesn't meet that ...

Seriously and anyone who doesn't believe this is a fool: If Romney was the Christian and Obama or whomever else an LDS member, the GOP and it's PAC's would swamp the country with ad's and blogs attacking the Democratic candidate's LDS faith and saying that this is a Christian nation and the candidate is not fit for office, since he's not a Christian.

While I know that often Democrats are the lesser of 2 evils, well, at least they're not just cruel and vicious and mean.

In summary, why is the GOP, giving Romney's religion a pass, when in 2008, a lot of them were rabid about Obama's supposed religion (Muslim)? Please, just go away GOP. Hypocrites.

You do know that Mormons believe in Christ right? They are not "Biblical" Christians alhtough they hold the Bible as one of their 4 major texts and some of their beliefs differ from other Christians.

This isn't worshiping a different God or attending a church where the Paster says "Damn the USA". And I thought Obama's religion didn't matter as stated by the majority of liberals? Who are the hypocrites then? Why is it that liberals hold religiong against Bush and Romney but think it doesn't matter to their Dear Leader?

Fundamentalist Christians and value voters, generally think, that Mormonism, is a cult. Mormon's don't believe exclusively in the Bible.
Go ahead and give Obama as pass on that, using your argument, since Muslims (assuming that about Obama, which is totally false), believe in Christ, but as a prophet, not the Son of God.

Why do conservatives keep calling President Obama Dear Leader or "The One"?

Mostly because it is convenient for core voters of both sides.
There are some things that he's continued, that I'm not crazy about at all, but, considering the obstruction he's got from the GOP in congress and the improvement (even though not great improvement) between now and Jan 2009, since he got in, he merits a second term.
So I don't know about your pass argument, I know a lot of progressives who are mad about Obama with the Patriot Act, keeping the same judges, etc...
but what does Romney have to offer as an alternative? Nothing (for progressives).
Again, just baffled, that Fox News, often, since 2008, gave the impression that Obama had a war on Christianity and religion, but now they're quiet about a Mormon possibly leading the country?
Please.

If being a Christian was the point, these Christian "conservatives" being spoken of, would have a better eye of identifying Christian. But then, if they started with self, they will all fail the test.

"If it was so bad that "Obama is not a Christian" in 2008, Conservatives, then why does Romney get a pass on this in 2012 "

For the same reason Harry Reid gets a break!

Democrats don't foam at the mouth about someone being a Christian like Republicans do.

Not at all the same thing.

Dems don't have a 'Christian' litmus test, like the wingnuts do. We welcome all different races, creeds, colors, sexual oriantations, etc. You know, just like the Constitution says.

The same definitiely can't be said of the Republicans.

Everyone knows the answer to this question.

Right wing hypocrisy, and bigotry.
