Thanks. But I am not asking whether I should take the medicine or not. I am pretty aware of what opiates are and that I do not care to take them. It was the principle I was pointing out.
So the only two Dr's who've done this are the OP's and the OP's friends Dr. If you aren't seeing the same Dr then you both must have drawn the short end of the stick and should probably both question your Dr's about this "standard protocol" that only they seem to know about.
