Five Democrats side with Republicans to repeal Obamacare | The Ticket - Yahoo! News

Ruh roh! Maybe we can get lucky and get a few democrats to side with republicans in the senate as well. If not there is always after November and they take back the senate I suppose....gonna have to have a good result bc Obama isn't going to sign it and it will need to over ride his veto.I like what the states are trying to do about it nullify the whole thing.

Well... useless voting is what tax dollars are meant for. As for the OP... 34 house democrats had voted against ACA in 2010, but repeal got only 5 votes?

Politics, close election districts where the electorate doesn't like the Affordable healthcare law.

Nothing more, nothing else. I'm still trying to hear a Republican alternative, haven't heard one yet though.

I haven't either but I am fine with how things are now. I don't pay for insurance and I never will. I think a great start for an alternative is to simply get government out of healthcare as with everything else.

If healthcare is repealed the mandate still stands in the court correct that the government can force you to purchase something or be fined as a precedent correct? Or is the whole thing just a moot point? I mean Romney said he can just walk in and hand out waivers to every state when he's elected.

Wow, a virtual landslide of defections.

I guess we can start running around branding them Dinos although that might run up against Hanna-Barbera Productions' copyrights.

Just get Romney in and have him do it by executive order.

I think its still dependent on the product, but the court has been calling a lot of crazy things constitutional lately. Like, a corporation is a person.
