Yeah and all those window shoppers who come in and cold **** everything. They're being perfectly respectable, right?

I've been in a lot of stores in my time. I personally haven't noticed gun stores to be any different than anywhere else. I get it, you're emotional and you feel emotion towards guns. That doesn't make a gun store any different from any other store.

Everybody else is emotional, but it is you who mentions emotion in all your threads Mr. NoExcuseForEmotion.

For whatever it's worth, the two places where I most often encounter uniformed security, ready to deal with "dissatisfied customers" are -- IRS and Social Security offices.

Admittedly, the top "offense" is attempts at cell-phone use, but there is a certain sub-species of the entitlement clientele which, when it doesn't get the answer it wants, simply tries to wait the issue out, at the expense of everyone else in line. (After all, they don't have to be bothered with anything as mundane as a job.)

You know what I have noticed at gun ranges, gun shows, and gun stores? No thug type people or gang bangers. Because they do not buy guns legally. So if we banned the American citizen from owning guns who would have guns? Pretty simple isn't it. Most things in life are very simple if you take more than 2 seconds to think about it. Plus you need to get rid if your political ideology, because you wont be honest with yourself if you follow party lines.

And we rarely hear about shoot outs at gun shops. One would think a place where there are 100's of guns and ammo would be a crime magnet.

The gun shops by my house welcome gun owners who open carry, even the ones who don't... A robber would be out of his mind to walk into a place where people are heavily armed and try to do any harm.

How often do you hear about people walking into gun shows or police stations to kill others?

Seriously OP, is that how you judge a person's character and mental state of mind? I would not be at all surprised if the Colorado shooter said "thank you" after he made his gun purchase and was handed his change.

HA.

We have gun shows every few months where I live and it's almost exclusively 'gang bangers' with jail house tattoos and wearing baggy jeans and wife beaters or rednecks bragging about their guns.

We have a few 'tactical' gun places where I live and there is only one that I like, the rest are filled with guys that come in wearing bulletproof vests and bragging about all the guns they have and they treat me like a 12 year old little girl because I'm a woman...even though I've been shooting since I was very young and competed in Postal shoots through my 4H group.

James Holmes bought his guns in several gun shops in the Denver area. I'm sure he was quite respectful in them.
