People have calm demeanors, say thank you, and call people' sir and maam'. No loud, boisterous obnoxious people. If you want a demonstration in perfect manners be sure and head into your local gun shop. May the 2nd Amendment live as long as America does, for without the Second Amendment the First Amendment would not be possible.

Good to know. I've only met nice responsible at weed dispensaries. Nice to know there are nice people out there.
I've never seen disrespectful people in a firearm shop in my life.
I'm VERY pro gun and have a safe full of the scariest (legal) weapons money can buy but I can't say the same... especially in shops that specialize in "tacti-cool" stuff.
There are more armchair commandos here in Utah than is morally right... and the next time I hear: "OMG, an ARC... I kick ass with it in Call of Duty!" or anything similar in a gun store, I'm liable to hit someone!

I like your thorough clinical study on gunshop and potential gun buyer disposition.
I've seen rude and boisterous customers in gun shops before. It's a retail establishment and is prone to idiots just like anything else. A consumer is a consumer is a consumer, they all feel entitled to something more.
Are you implying that gun owers are polite or that people are polite around guns?

It has been determined through numerous scientific studies that people are polite around guns.
For the most part, an armed society is a polite society. Most people at ranges are very nice and willing to help new shooters, and to help others involved in the sport. Target shooters go out of their way to help their competators, something you don't see in a lot of sports.
On the flip side, I have heard a great deal of ignorant statements and comments from both sides of the counter at at many gun shops though. Everybody thinks they know more than they do.
