Joe Paterno turns a blind eye to child rape being performed by his best buddy for 15+ years for the purpose of preserving Penn State Football reputation. He silently colludes with other university officials to remain mum. All because of a football team and a tarnished legacy?

Joe Paterno is the scum of the earth and his reputation should no longer be associated with football, but instead forever be associated as an accomplice to child rape and sexual molestation.

Not that I particularly cared for his actions or for what he did, but why waste time in speaking ill of the recently departed?

Waste of time and space, no?

Other than - have at it!

Agreed.

The NCAA should do the right thing and strip Paterno and Penn State of all of their wins and other awards going back to the first proven instance of abuse. Since Paterno and the other Penn State scumbags were willing to let children be abused to protect their precious football program, that is a punishment that would really hit them where it hurts.

So are the trustees. They should all be forced to resign. Joe Pa is dead so they throw him under the bus to protect themselves. They knew it was going on too and swept it under the rug. They say they didn't know a thing about it from '98 to '11. I say BS. Joe told em he would take care of it and it went away until somebody finally spoke up.

WTH? This is just regurgitating history.

I think slavery is a sin and the south should pay for condoning it 150 years ago.

You may be right, but what's the point?

Really, only "the south"? Guess those other states up north get a pass even though slavery was legal there even during the civil war.

This is probably the first time that I ever agreed with you but I do agree. They should also get the others that knew about it and did nothing.

Who cares if he's dead? His reputation should now enjoy the rigors of being an accomplice to a child rapist. Dead or alive, he earned that reputation. His family will now be beholden to it, no matter how many excuses they try to make for that evil, self-serving bastard.
