It's very possible that that money indirectly purchased his weaponry. When I was in college I didnt have a pot to **** in, all my money went to housing and tuition. Weapons are expensive. Had he not gotten this federal grant money , he may not have been able to afford weaponry. Thanks obama!

That fact that you try to blame Obama for Holmes receiving student loans borders on parody. So absurd and ridiculous that I can barely stand it.

He purchased all his guns while he was in college....purchased an assault rifle after he failed an exam.

It's not ridiculous to consider.

They give much more than is needed to pay for books and tuition + study tools as it is.

Edit: Sorry most of his guns

Perhaps all students and or/researchers (PhD or otherwise) should be given a thorough background check and mental health testing/evaluation prior to receiving taxpayer funded federal grants. Afterall, it appears to have been no secret that the suspect was an abuser of mind altering substances per his own reported public disclosures. As such, he must have misrepresented himself (read: lied) when he filled out the BATFE form 4473 (further read commited a crime on paper) to purchase the semi-auto rifle.

There is no evidence that he failed the exam.

We know more about James Holmes than we know about Obama.

Kevin Bacon step aside now we have 6 degrees of separation from Obama. If you can link any tragedy or disaster within 6 degrees or less of any federal program, expenditure, or law you win!

Seriously, these kinds of crazy arguments don't win anyone over.

he failed the exam...

What benefit does the fabrication of such a factor provide? Why even split hairs about such a trivial issue? He still dropped the class after the alleged failure. The only thing that is stated to be unknown is if he partnered up with a mentor.

The left blamed Bush for everything. I have the right to blame Obama for this. His lax standards for throwing money around have not gone unnoticed by myself and other hard working taxpayers in this nation!
