Just yesterday, we were assured that Obama would sign a UN gun control treaty and half a dozen people absolutely agreed it would be the end of the world.

Guess what? He didn't.

BBC News - UN global arms treaty talks end without agreement

Once again, the GOP's supporters were lied to, and believed the lie.

How many more times will y'all be swindled out of your support before you realize you're being played?

It would appear that Obama realized that signing this treaty would be a huge political misstep leading up to the November elections. He had a letter from 51 US Senators who stated they would refuse to accept any proposal for ratification of the UN ATT.

Things turn out better when our representatives do their jobs right. Thank you senators.

If Obama (or Romney) wins in November, expect this garbage to be revisited and SIGNED by one of them.

Oh, I realize Obama-Romney are one in the same when it comes to their disdain of the serfs owning firearms. An armed populous is inconsistent with a police state. The two cannot co-exist.

The real reprecussion of the UN ATT at the onset is on US small arms manufacturers and their ability to export their goods abroad. Any violations of the UN ATT while remaining perfectly in line with US laws, could have them drug through international court.

The UN is no longer a friend of the USA. They consider the USA as a nation that may be invaded by UN forces someday. Remember World War Two. At least two nations wanted to invade the USA at the time. Wake up America.

they may want to invade, but it wont happen as NO country or combination of countries has the capability to move and supply that many troops that would be needed to invade the US without being pushed back into the sea by the US military and the US citizenry.

as to the UN treaty, romney or obama may indeed sign it, but it will never be ratified in the senate, unless the country has a huge lapse in judgement and puts in a bunch of anti gun liberals in the senate. and that means that the liberals would have to pick up all ten republican seats that are open this year, and still have to either convince 6 more republicans to vote for the measure, OR wait until the 2014 mid terms to pick at least 6 more seats in the senate so that the required 2/3s majority needed to ratify a treaty is put in place, and that wont happen.

Like a beaten house wife they're so used to the abuse they come back for more and attempt to rationalize it away as being normal. It's sad and more than a little pathetic.

Man, these threads are getting really pathetic.

You all were defending it, so apparently you believed the lie too. You lost, now you're throwing **** at the other side to make up for it.
