Limbaugh: Sen. Harry Reid Should Resign

Tuesday, October 2, 2007 2:33 PM

Article Font Size

Talk-show giant Rush Limbaugh sharply escalated his war of words with Democrats in the Senate today, calling for the resignation of Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.

He also characterized as "boneheaded" Reid's effort to enlist senators to pressure Limbaugh's syndicator, Clear Channel Communications, to censor him.

"And the thing that we ought to demand here," Limbaugh told his listeners, "is that Harry Reid step down and resign as the leader of the Democrats in the Senate, for his constant, uncontrollable contempt of our armed forces; his repeated use of our troops for political purposes. Harry Reid has failed in his mission to lead the Democrats in the Senate, to get what they want . . . He is the one who is dishonoring the troops; he is the one who is making a mockery of their service."

Reid has charged that Limbaugh called America's service personnel in Iraq "phony soldiers."

Limbaugh's remarks appeared to actually refer to a specific soldier, Jesse Macbeth, who appeared in a YouTube video stating that he and other American soldiers had killed Iraqi civilians. Macbeth was later sentenced to five months in prison for falsifying his military service record.

I've noticed the papers and news stations are dropping the issue, turns out Charles Gibson and Brian Ross had done a story 2 nights before Rush's comments, a story on you guessed it: phony heroes from Iraq.

Once I saw this, I realized, that MAYBE, just MAYBE, this was a more legitimate excuse for Rush. Either way, I'm still no Rush fan because he is excessively arrogant and would rather die than admit he is wrong about anything.

Yeah, you hardly ever hear about people like that on radio and tv.

That would be a great match!!! Reid is a former boxer, while Rush has long been a P*SSY who never failed to avoid a real fight. Even if they could set a date, Limp-bow would ultimately back out with a note from his family doctor claiming an infected boil on his arse, just like he did for Vietnam (Pilonidal cyst, to be precise).

BTW, what did the El-Rushie say to explain the 1.5 minutes of conversation that he edited out of the transcript?

Umm, YEAH!

Rush has not been very straightforward with his answer (occasionally changing it to a Football injury to sound more manly)

According to his mother (and supported by several of the deliberately elusive statements Rush has made) he had a pilonidal cyst, which is essentially a super-sized ingrown clump of hairs on his bottom. This was determined by a note from his family doctor and not from a military entrance physical. How manly He certainly has earned the right to call real soldiers "phony", huh?
