Good article. If you think it's going to get better in Congress after November...Think Again.

The Tea Party’s Plan to Cripple Congress

The Tea Party

`Wave goodbye to members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Doing nothing has taken a lot out of them, so they have left Washington for five weeks of rest, relaxation and campaigning in the hope that voters will return them to office to do more of the same.

This is especially the case for the large Tea Party contingent among the several score first-term Republicans. They set out to change Washington but settled for simply paralyzing it.

...Note to the GOP, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it...in spades.

Congress was trying to spend tons of Other People's Money, in the typically Obama way, raise taxes left and right, increase regulations and restrictions everywhere possible, etc.

Paralyzing that IS a major change in Washington, and a change in the right direction.

Keep up the good work, Republicans! America needs to elect MORE such congressmen, and boot out the big-govt Dems wherever possible.

Now if Congress would just stop trying to be so big-government liberal, Republicans could start doing POSITIVE things instead of merely holding the line against the Democrat socialists. Such as repealing Obamacare, getting rid af a lot of those restrictions, getting rid of the incredible spending etc.

They have a LOT of work to do. But stopping the big-govt fanatics was Job One, and they have been doing it well.

Kudoes!

But I fully agree with the thread title:

Thank you, TEA Party!

They are representing their constituents as they promised when they were elected. If you have an issue with how the Tea Party affects you, maybe that's a signal that it's time to roll back the size and scope of the federal government so that their voting and beliefs do not have as much impact on you.

I couldn't have said it better.

Honestly I cant stand to read about them but I have no doubt this is correct. The one in my area sent a mailer out. I read some of the lies and hate and then ripped it to shreds. I just cant believe we are going to sit back just like 1933 and let this happen all over again.

As usual, the poster cannot name any actual examples of "lies and hate" coming from the TEA Party, but that doesn't stop him from hating them himself.

Cripple congress?

Oh Noes!

I don't want them crippled. That's far too good for them and much more than they deserve.

Here you go.
