After all - if you have a job - you didn't earn that - President Obama created it for you.

Good grief. Do you ever read what you write? No one without a job even thinks this way. They're too busy looking for a job and trying to pay their bills. How it effects any politician isn't even on their radar.

Then why is President Obama so interested in "creating jobs"?

Amen. I was unemployed for a while in 2010, and the FARTHEST thing from my mind was "screwing some politician" - I was more worried about keeping a roof over my head, and feeding myself and my pets.

People who stop looking for work are no longer reflected in the official unemployment number, so if your main goal is to make Obama look bad, I'd think you'd want MORE unemployed people to actively look for jobs.

How in the world can the people who track unemployment rates calculate the number of people who are not actively looking for work?

This is why I no longer understand conservatives. Their reasoning and motivations seem to not be in sync with what they supposedly stand for.

What if they track the number of people who ARE actively looking for work. Maybe that could work.

I think that there are more pressing issues in deciding whether or not to work such as quality food and shelter.
