I think that Paul Ryan is a better potential VP than Sarah Palin. What do others think about this? Compare their backgrounds, etc.

Clearly he has the advantage. I think we should be comparing him to Joe Biden really.

Do you think he adds to the Republican ticket much more than Sarah Palin did in 2008?

Paul Ryan is very much in the Dick Cheney category: a douche who people hate but nonetheless does not come off as braindead. That is better than Palin because it scares people less for whatever reason. I don't really understand why, a moron like Palin wouldnt be any worse president than a semi competent psychopath

I think he adds more. I would have prefered Condi Rice though.

Palin was a cheerleader, highly effective, but just a cheerleader. Not that I've ever thrown a cheerleader out of bed mind you.

Paul has definately got the IQ to support being a VP. I just think Condi would have been a better pick. She does have a nice gig at Standford though making TONS more money.

He's definitely not as braindead as Palin!

I'm not conservative, but I think Ryan was a much better choice than Palin was. Less personal baggage, seems pretty intelligent and articulate--even if you don't agree with what he's saying, and he doesn't seem to cater to the worst elements of the GOP base the way Palin did.

Now Eddie Munster gets a chance to explain why he wanted to kill Medicare.

Good luck with that.
