Because they're arriving in large numbers -- they are new votes -- many haven't been in this country for long at all, and they want unlimited immigration of their people -- in part because many of them have extended family, friends they plan to bring in.
Unemployment rates of Americans or falling wages is obviously a non-issue for them. They really do not share the same issues that the American people have.

There hasn't been "free market capitalism" in the US for the last 130 years or so (when corporations were allowed). The ""free market capitalism"" you think is occurring is actually artificial demand of labor created when the government (especially Obama) places unspeakable quantity of regulations and restrictions on employers when hiring U.S. citizens. As a result, these employers illegally turn to the path of least cost by skirting all of those laws to save money on hiring cheaper labor, as economics would dictate. Therefore, by paring down at least SOME of the ridiculous restrictions larded up on employers (especially small business), while still having core protection for employees, would turn the original assertion around.
