I don't see what ethnic violence in Africa has to do with diversity in the US. You think diversity will result in us killing each other? Maybe you want to kill people of other races but I think most people are relatively indifferent.
Why do you think the FBI keeps hate crime statistics? People do kill each other over "diversity" or whatever you want to call it. Fact. Now preach to us all how it never would happen in the good old USofA.
Multiculturalism only works when people make it work. People have always judged others by nationality, race and other things. Humans like to divide to make themselves feel better. It represents insecurity.
Diversity is fine as long as we don't forget who WE are.
So, who are we?
Britts, Germans, Italians etc...I don't think most of us have much in common with what we came from.
I think we should rather figure out who we WANT to be.
Do we want to stay on this path with always finding something wrong in people that are different so we can cry about times changing and how it used to be better.
Or do we want to realize that people are going to move around and there is not much you can do about it. Accept the changes and try to make the best of it rather than increasing the tension between races/religions etc.
