What ridicule would that be? His daughter was 8 or 9 at the time.....an even younger age for you to fantasize about.

It's not my comprehension that's being questioned. It's yours. I'll wait for your link. Or your retraction of the comments you've made.

It's always "I, I, I, Under My Direction..........."

This is an example of why he's such a despicable person.

I'm sure if the hurricane misses land, he will take credit. Sickening.
Because the president appoints the director of FEMA, and making sure that there's a competent FEMA director in place is kind of a priority--after the mess that W's director "Brownie" (Michael Brown) made of the emergency reponse with Katrina, I think the president is trying to reassure people in the Gulf that they actually have someone in charge who knows what they're doing this time around. Lives may well depend on it.

Exactly. It isn't exactly rocket science to understand when you choose to live below sea level that eventually the water will find a way. The question moving forward is should US taxpayers be expected to bail-out NOLA in regard to any flood damage yet again? (I vote NO)

No, it doesn't beg ridicule. Sure you can make fun of Obama for making a statement, who cares. But ridiculing a little girl? That is kinda sad and it exposes your personality and obfuscates any meaningful talking points you may inadvertently stumble upon.

Talk to Piyush. He was the one who begged Obama not only for a declaration of a state of emergency but also for federal assistance AND federal reimbursement.

Go after Obama for his stupid remarks, but in my opinion only, children should be left alone. Infact children and even younger teens of Presidents should be left alone.

Obama does do things always with a purpose, or he would not do them at all.

I have many best friends who live in those regions MS, AND LA, during Katrina, and they know they live there, no matter what, there were people who were just not going to leave no matter what was told to them.

Lessons should be larned.

He's been in campaign mode for four years, pointing out to us how valuable he is to the country.

If you look through legal documents from socialist or communist countries, you'll find this a common theme. They are often far longer than necessary, and much of their verbiage is spent explaining how beneficial its laws (or the government in general) are.

The U.S. Constitution is some 7 pages long.

The Constitution of China is nearly a hundred pages long in English. Its Preamble alone is three pages (the U.S. one is five lines).

Dictators, and governments intent on ruling against the will of the people, must spend huge amounts of time persuading those people how good and necessary their policies are.

Free governments have no such need.

Obama will never stop telling us how much he has done for us. That's quite a task for someone whose policies have mostly failed.... but that, in part, is why it's necessary.
