I love how so many countries feel entitled to step into the domestic matters of other countries. As though it EVER works out....

The April 27th Geneva Conference of 1954 produced the Geneva Agreement which resulted in Indochina gaining sovereignty of all it's territory from France, a cessation of hostilities and foreign involvement in internal affairs. It established north and south demarcation zones for opposing forces to withdraw to while democratic elections were to take place to establish a leadership .

FRANCE signed the deal while the U.S. and Southern Vietnam leader, Diem refused.

1954 marked the beginning of serious U.S involvement in Vietnam!

You were sticking your noses in with military observors as early as 1950, way before 1960's and got into it all on your own. France neither pulled, pushed or inveigled you into that one so stop blaming them.

Oil in Iraq and Libya. Drugs in Afghanistan.

U.S. Companies Shut Out as Iraq Auctions Its Oil Fields - TIME

Quote:
Those who claim that the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003 to get control of the country's giant oil reserves will be left scratching their heads by the results of last weekend's auction of Iraqi oil contracts: Not a single U.S. company secured a deal in the auction of contracts that will shape the Iraqi oil industry for the next couple of decades.
That was December 2009.

Then, a few years later, ISIS, whom US was supporting against Syria, suddenly attacked Iraq and took over most if not all Iraqi oil fields.

Who do you think is buying Iraqi/ISIS oil? Why are there no calls in Congress to stop money flow to ISIS and to embargo their oil?

Iraq is losing a crucial oil refinery to ISIS - Business Insider

Quote:
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi forces besieged inside the country's largest oil refinery are running low on food and pleading for reinforcements to save them from Islamic State militants who have advanced deep into the compound in the past week.

The insurgents now hold large sections of the sprawling Baiji refinery complex in northern Iraq where some 200 policemen, soldiers and elite special forces are holding out.
Now, with Libya things are more complicated to research. I remember hearing that Libya's refinery and Libya's oil is full of foreign workers and no Libyan national can come even close to it.

It's nothing personal. Just business.

Afghanistan opium production after US invasion is through the roof. Those drugs are then sold to Europe and Russia.

Just ship it to terrorists, they will end up getting it.

Support Assad.

Makes you wonder...why do western nations insist on supporting terrorists? How is this (and Obama's actions to arm terrorists) NOT an act of war against the legitimate government of Syria?
