Romney says he likes parts of 'Obamacare' - CBS News
WASHINGTON — Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, who promised early in his campaign to repeal President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, says he would keep several important parts of the overhaul.

"Of course there are a number of things that I like in health care reform that I'm going to put in place," he said in an interview broadcast Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." ''One is to make sure that those with pre-existing conditions can get coverage."

Romney also said he would allow young adults to keep their coverage under their parents' health-insurance.

Those provisions have been two of the more popular parts of Obama's Affordable Care Act.

Romney Says He Will 'Repeal Obamacare' if Elected - NYTimes.com
By MICHAEL D. SHEAR and ASHLEY PARKER
12:31 p.m. | Updated Mitt Romney declared Thursday that he would “act to repeal Obamacare” if he was elected president, saying that he agreed with the dissenting justices in the Supreme Court ruling on Thursday.

With the Capitol over his shoulder and standing in front of a podium with a sign that read “Repeal and Replace Obamacare,” Mr. Romney said the health of the American economy depended on getting rid of the health care law.

“Our mission is clear: if we want to get rid of Obamacare, we are going to have to replace President Obama,” Mr. Romney said. “That is my mission. That is our work. And I’m asking the American people to join me.”

Romney continues to give the citizens no confidence in the strength of his word.

Both promote government meddling in healthcare industry, just another example of how the two are more alike than they are different.

Romney needs to stop talking. The more he talks, the more people see who he is... that cannot be good for him.

Yep, flat out said that if you have preexisting conditions that you shouldn't be denied coverage. Truths are starting to come out.

It seems like Romney likes the parts that provide services and does not like the parts that actually pay for them. Not exactly fiscally responsible. How did we end up with such terrible choices? We need a Ross Perot type in 2016.

That's what Reagan did in 86 that's lead to part of our increased healthcare costs. Mandating anything is bad from Washington and leads to waste.

I love how the rest of Western Civilization has adopted universal health care to great success, but the evangelical right is still putting its fingers in its ears and screaming "NO! JESUS SAYS NO HEAL THE SICK!"

Here Romney goes being true to the only thing he is true to...flip flopping.

Much of Obmacare is based on Romneycare and Romney knows that this fact will surface during the debates, so he is preparing for it. Shame on him for distancing himself from his only positive achievement during his governorship...until now.

He also sees that there are very popular parts of the plan that he will not be able to go negative on at the risk of losing support from voters. He will probably use the tactic of taking credit for parts of Obamacare. Yeah, Romney...just like you saved GM. This guy has no integrity whatsoever. He would go thru a sex change operation if he thought that it would get him into the White House quicker.

So of course he agrees with parts of it....hell, he agrees with ALL of it, he just can't say so.

Default Romney says he likes parts of 'Obamacare'

Since Obamacare is the nationwide version of Massachussetts' Romneycare, this shouldn't be a heavy shock to anyone who's been paying attention.
