Ok, you Anonymous-supporting a-holes. Now one of your idols has effectively taken my business offline.

GoDaddy Outage Takes Down Millions Of Sites, Anonymous Member Claims Responsibility | TechCrunch

We host our website ourselves, our e-mail is hosted by Google, and our DNS is handled by GoDaddy. Without getting into too many technical details, the attack on GoDaddy has effectively rendered it impossible for incoming emails to be delivered. That has the effect of shutting our business down.

I know you think that Anonymous is the coolest thing since sliced bread... "Down with corporations!" "We are the 99%!" and all that crap, but this time, your friends in low, smelly places are messing with tens of thousands - if not millions - of "little guys." The "99%," if that's how you need to read it for it to make sense.

Defend this terrorist action. I dare you.

GoDaddy is terrible! They wouldn't have been hacked if they didn't wear those low-cut firewalls. Just asking for it.

Not defending, but I will state this:

Anonymous does not always fight on the side of "good". They are a mostly neutral force, strking wherever they please.

If they find a weakness, no matter where, they will strike it.

This is one such case.

So Anonymous is now a problem now that somebody claiming to be a part of Anonymous has personally done you harm? And now that it's made you angry, you completely ignore facts and attack the collective? In case you didn't read your own article:

A member of Anonymous known as AnonymousOwn3r is claiming responsibility, and makes it clear this is not an Anonymous collective action.
It's one person who did it to test their security (and apparently some other, possibly personal, reasons).

I'm not saying you don't have a right to be angry, just don't let your anger blind you to facts.

Anonymous didn't start out to render anyone who uses the internet helpless but it seems they are doing it now.

You have my sympathy because I understand that small business relies on sites like these to keep their business running. You guys are not Microsoft or Walmart with endless money to build your own infrastructure.

Yes they did.

What most people know of anonymous only got started when they began protesting scientology. They've been around far longer than that.

Anonymous exists to strike wherever they think it's funny.

This is not such a case, however, as this is not Anonymous.

A DDoS attack doesn't exploit any specific weakness. It's a brute force attack with all the sophistication and finesse of a caveman.

Check the title, Gallows.

And I've stated repeatedly that Anonymous is a criminal, terrorist organization. My position regarding them and their activities hasn't changed a single bit - ever. They are and always have been criminals.

Don't let your assumptions blind you to the facts.
