It takes at least 2 weeks (if you’re lucky) for a law abiding citizen to get vetted for a concealed carry permit, but an illegal alien can be vetted and approved for a reprieve/work permit in less than 72 hours. Something is not right.

Cause working and carrying a gun have equivalent risk?

Maybe if you aren't patient enough to wait two weeks for your firearm, you don't have the maturity to carry one?

Law abiding (American) = high risk?
Non law abiding (Illegal alien) = less risk

Maybe if you aren't patient enough to come to this country and follow our immigration laws you should not be processed for work permits?!

What other Constitutionally affirmed right must people "wait" for? H*ll, y'all even protest against voter ID. How is that for selective hypocrisy when it comes to the taxation of Constitutionally affirmed rights?

It is 7 days here in Texas. If you do not want to wait then simply buy a gun from a private owner, and bang you have your gun on the spot. I would have no problem if the time was cut but only if the check can be completd in the time frame, blame the time lag on state law enforcement, it is not the feds.

Work permits should be quick and easy, it helps reduce illegals, you do want to reduce the illegals here don't ya?

I agree with the first part. As for illegals I want them prosecuted for breaking the law. I also want those who knowingly hire illegals to be prosecuted.

Less risk of what? I fail to see how the two issues relate to each other.
