These types of anemic responses from the WH are getting to a new level of absurdity. Really, do they hold the American intellect in such disdain that they genuinely believe that anyone would believe such spin?? I try to be pretty even handed with my viewpoints on events but, good lord, this is just too much!
Strange, we have another thread, here on the first page, in which many of you argue that the Muslims are rioting due to the video, and blasting said Muslims for not having a sense of humor, being intolerant, etc.
Yet, when the White House issues a statement saying "The riots are due to the video", you argue with that interpretation, and, I guess, claim that the video has nothing to do with the protests.
That video was used to incite the people. Egypt showed that clip on their TV just last Saturday.
Islamists are leaving their Friday prayers and going to Embassies in protest and violence.
All the chants are against America and Obama and demand a US apology for that film.
Carney just basically excused those radicals for murdering the US Ambassador.

Short answer yes. Anything can be overcome by Obama flashing his pearly whites and changing the subject to Mitt Romney's "gaffes".
this is a very troublesome response from the White House.. now the terrorists will use this tool ( an offensive video) to kill Americans. If the White House accepts this as the reason.. the video,, the muslims will again kill and blame it on an other video or offensive material to justify themselves.
Obama and his white house staff should not have accepted that as a reason. There is NO REASON to kill Americans. Obama and his administration is sending a very bad message and an opened door to terrorism. They need to grow some brains!
But only NOW it's become the subject of all this attention?
On the anniversary of 9/11?
