100% agree, if the soda ban was about drinks that contained 1% alcohol, many of the freedom loving anti-big gubiment nanny state libertarians criticizing this ban would be backing it up 100%.

Let alone sugar, maybe the next step is to ban people from choosing who they want to marry! Wait, that's something a lot of the people complaining about this already support. Because banning ridiculously sized cups of soda (not the soda itself) is a tyrannic act worthy of a "nanny state", but interfering with people's marriage choices is the stuff freedom is made of.
