House passes new Buffett Rule - Washington Times

There. Now I expect every single wealthy liberal out there, every damn hack in Hollywood to start ponying up. No excuses now.

Why do I get the feeling not one of them will sign up for this? Hypocrisy.

More stupidity.

More divisiveness.

More playing on ignorance.

This isn't a bill that allows people to pay more tax. It's a bill that allows people to pay less tax.

If the "thought" behind this bill is that the Liberals want the wealthy to pay more in tax then, wouldn't any bill passed automatically increase taxes on Liberals as well as everyone else? So, this bill doesn't allow the Liberals to pay more tax, it just allows everyone else to pay less.

Nothing stops you from writing a check payable to the US Treasury.
It's just that most people want to tax other people for their money.

What....where? Are we reading the same article?

Quote:
The House on Wednesday passed Republicans' own version of the Buffett Rule, which allows wealthy Americans to voluntarily pony up to reduce the deficit.

The bill, labeled the Buffett Rule Act, passed by voice vote, meaning Democrats and Republicans agreed with it. Under the legislation, which would still need Senate approval, taxpayers could check a box on their taxes and send in a check for more than they owe to the IRS.
Either way, it will never get through harry reid....I'll be it does not even get a vote....

Lower taxes have proven to be more affective in increasing revenue to the government. Yet liberals, like Barack Obama, still insist on it. So, if you are so insistent that some people pay more, if you are a wealthy liberal, you can pay more. Pay all you want.

Wanting an increase in taxes because of fairness is crap and not American.

The Republican lead Congress can't seem to find enough time to waste.

Remind us all again who is constantly campaigning and fundraising, going on Letterman, hanging out with Jayz with a tower of expensive champagne?

Hint: It is the same guy who once said vacation and leisure are over once he is in the White House, but has found plenty of time for vacation and golf.

Here is the real test: "Under the legislation, which would still need Senate approval, taxpayers could check a box on their taxes and send in a check for more than they owe to the IRS."

Can the Senate actually pull together to sign this into law? Because as we all know the people who are actually blocking the US Government from getting anything done are actually across the way in the White House.

It will prove liberal hypocrisy. How many wealthy liberals out there, especially in Hollywood, do you think are going to take use of this?

The Senate wont pass it though. Democrats will say it has to be forced on everyone but not optional.
