No, not shameful, a step forward in the right direction. You need to stop catering to special interest groups of any kind. You either create a "jobs bill" (snicker) for all Americans or for none at all.

Filibustering....

But, but, but, it's the President's responsibility to create jobs and fix the economy!

Jobs are jobs. I'd rather have put 10k veterans to work than put no one to work.

Sounds like a Veteran feel good Bill.
Yes, of course, some pigs are more equal than others. That's the Liberal philosophy. We get that.

You need to be doing things for all Americans, not just for those Americans who can be neatly molded into a Special Interest Group.

Not me, Id rather they seek gainful employment in the private sector and quit living off the backs of taxpayers.
America is broke and not in any position to hire.

These were real jobs for real people with real needs and real families that would put back real money back into the economy. So now you are berating veterans for needing a hand-up and not working for a corporation? Also, the jobs they would have been trained for were once regarded as repsectful and honorable.

These veterans put their life on the line for people like you? Your attitude is disgustng and revolting.

So you're also opposed to paying the defense industry? The military? Gov't contractors? Vendors that provide goods like pens/papers/computers/etc. to the gov't?

Damn people.....

Speaking as a retired Vet.....there are so many jobs assistance programs for a Vet....do you not understand this?

You don't need to add more assistance when those Vets don't know about it or refuse to use it...why add more? Much less use this as a political objective, when you know NOTHING about what really happens with Vets....

Further proof Republicans could care less about the troops. But after what they did in Iraq, should this even be a surprise? GI Bill benefits, medical care, jobs bills, all attacked by Republicans.
