Such a sham. How shallow society has become. Now, we elect presidents based upon likeability, not competency.
I always love the MLK references. Vilified in life, but venerated in death.

Everyone loves Dr. King now that he's safe in his grave.

I didn't know that Romney was very deep in politics after failing to get the nomination in 2008. Hmmmmm, another leaner trying to take part.

So, since he died, what, 40 or so years ago, no one should make nice references to him?

You would have to ask the Nobel committe and they don't answer questions. So for the rest of your life you can just keep on asking the same dumb question over and over again or you could just put it down to Obama plays a good game of basketball. Either way, WhoTF cares!!

It's not Obama's fault that the Noble prize committee is a bunch of idiots.

They put him in an incredibly awkward position and quite frankly I'd bet $1,000 that they had conversations about Obama declining the award.

Personally, if it had been me I would have declined it. Then again, I'm not on the political hotseat and am too no-nonsense to ever make it as a politician lol.

the tiny bit they still had remaining, yeah. they really embarassed themselves with this attempt at an after-the-fact slap at gwb - which is what this really was.
obama could and should have politely declined to accept it.

People now use Dr. King and his ideals for their own selfish, agenda-driven purposes.

(And he was assassinated 44 years ago.)
