Surprise? Not when you look at the partisan demographics.

Well, if anyone is listening to Fox News or the myriad of hate mongers such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and other extremists/racists ... it's not difficult to understand why the "media" is held in low estseem by that type of listener. Thankfully, there are responsible news outlets and publications. But, shhhh ..... don't tell everyone. We wouldn't want people to educate themselves.

Pretty interesting that only 39% of Americans pay attention to national politics.
I come here because you guys (both sides) can hold a debate on issues and I learn alot from the various links people provide. In my day to day meeting up with people, most are clueless about what is going on and they don't even care to know what's going on in government.

I make it a point to read foreign news sites to get a better view of what is going on in the world (and at home).
Haven't trusted our media to tell the full story for years now. They are nothing but glorified tabloids, full of bias and slant with agendas attached to them. None really present objective news with "just the facts".

Oh yes, real "responsible" news outlets like CBS who presented fake documents to discredit a sitting US president or CNN who made a deal with Saddam to not report on his activities in exchange for them remaining in Iraq, and most importantly like those who throw only softball questions to Democratic party members while asking only hardball questions of Republicans both in their interviews and presidential debates.

So, it is just Fox that is biased? One news media outlet is the WHOLE reason for the mistrust. Lol. That is funny.

Forget it. You cannot change the views of strict partisan loyalists. Their party NEVER does anything wrong nor present anything in a wrong light. And they exist on both sides. Their party could bankrupt the country and they would still be loyal followers, defending them to the death.

You are right. It's like trying to save the Titanic now. They are a lost cause.

Perfect example. Look how quick they react to Romney's tax returns, and how they just cant get enough. Yet they cant take on this Admin over pretty much anything. Not even the debacle in Libya where Americans were murdered.

The media has nobody to blame but themselves

especially public funded media !

After the sad events in the middle east I'm surprised that a few media outlets
