A Philadelphia high school teacher is under investigation after she reportedly ordered a student to take off a t-shirt supporting Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign and compared the shirt to a Ku Klux Klan sheet.
“Are you seriously wearing a Romney shirt — and then she told her to get out,” Pawlucy told the radio station.
“My daughter took it as a joke. But the teacher left the room and called other teachers and students into her classroom.”

I have known for years that there is much merit in the old saying, "Those who can do; those who can't teach." There is lots of pond scum masquerading as school teachers, so, in general one should be quite skeptical of the things your children are taught in school.

The teacher, in this case, is an idiot.
However, I hardly think that teachers have somehow cornered the market on idiots. I know idiots from all walks of life, jobs, and economic class. To illustrate: A pompous, loud-mouthed, dimwit who has surely never stepped foot in front of a public school classroom and then claims teachers "can't do anything" would be someone I would label an idiot.
The student is free to wear the shirt as long as it does not violate the school dress codes. Please don't lump all democrats or all teachers into the same boat. The vast majority of them would not have reacted as this teacher did.
