Okay we had Bush for 8 years and in the end Americans (literally) booed him off the stage and made sure there was a democrat to take his place. Now 4 years later again disgruntled Americans return to the voting polls.

If Romney wins and there is no fix what will Americans do next?

Will Mitt be blamed like Obama is blamed and the Bush before him, and the one before him and so on and so on as far back into history as any one is willing to look? There seems to be a pattern here; just curious as to how long this pattern will continue to repeat itself.

Yes we can, doesn't mean Americans should. Bush said, "Every American should own a home."

Bill Clinton's drive to increase homeownership went way too far - BusinessWeek

That link is just one small drop in a bucket full of Americans taking the risks then becoming disgruntled when it all didn't work out for them.

So if Romney wins I guess he then becomes the next fall guy.

If Romney wins and does a crappy job ( which based on historical precedent is very likely), Conservatives will somehow blame liberals and pretend that they never did the absolute non-stop Obama bashing that they have done for the past 4 years.

In fact if Romney wins, I may stay away from this board for a bit because the amount of conservative back patting and throwing it in liberals' faces that will exist here will be too much to take.

Bill Clinton, balanced the budget during his 8 years. Today, he is the most popular person in the world. Hillary comes in second.
So you see, not EVERY President is a failure. I know Jimmy Carter was not popular with 18 per cent inflation, but , today has become a popular exPresident. He has done a lot for the less fortunate With Habitat for Humanities .

It seems to me the blame game has become American's favorite pass time.

Who knows what America would be like in 4 years after Romney?

Who could have predicted obama could make such a disaster in America 4 years ago?

Oh please don't get me started. I saw him coming before he walked in the door. However with the increased powers of the executive orders that Bush implemented during his 8 years, that was like handing the keys to a candy shop to a child, but then telling him to never use 'em.

Not every thing is the presidents fault though. Do we not have some intelligent people working to recover the economy? Some that it doesn't matter what a President does or doesn't do to help make a recovery possible.

Or is every one in America going to go buy that house even though they haven't the income to pay for it?

Where is your brain ? Were you asleep during the worst recession since 1930s? What the Dems. Inherited from Bush was more than shame, it borders on criminal.

No, those who opposed Bush booed him off. They, along with others who bought into the bamboozle of hope and change elected Obama. Many have recanted their commitments.

Change is already built into the gubmint. Hope is not a policy, a welfare program, or a Constitutional right. Although, some may incorporate it in a personal 'pursuit of happiness' as though it were some mindless drug addiction.

And if the Obama wins there will be liberal back patting and throwing it in the conservative's face, but we'll all live. Such is the democratic process and it is a true blessing that our nation has which people in most countries can only dream of having.

But, as far as the blame... I honestly don't remember Reagan blaming Carter for things once he took office, he just took the steps he thought would fix it. One of the biggest issues I have with Obama to this day is that he seems to blame everyone but himself for what is going on in the country today - over 3 years since he has been in office. When democrats lost so many congressional seats in '94 Bill Clinton took a look at his policies, changed some of them, and moved more to the center. He also figured out how to work across party line, understanding that compromise is a two way street, which is not something Obama has been willing to do. I hope if Romney is one the one to take office that he follows those examples of presidential leadership instead of Obama's. I have lived through quite a few presidencies and none have tried to pass the buck as much as Obama, including Nixon, whose impeachment hearings I well remember.
