Sure enough, the “Seventh Quarterly Report” on the economic impact of the “stimulus,” released on Friday, July 1, provides further evidence that President Obama’s economic “stimulus” did very little, if anything, to stimulate the economy, and a whole lot to stimulate the debt.
The report was written by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, and it chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs. The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus” (which it describes as a “natural way to estimate the effects of” the legislation), the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.
In other words, the government could simply have cut a $100,000 check to everyone whose employment was allegedly made possible by the “stimulus,” and taxpayers would have come out $427 billion ahead.
Obama is gambler. A bad one at that. To make matters worse he gambles with our money.
He talks about investing in the future. I would like to see where his personal investments are placed and what percentage is in green energy.
The people who got those jobs were then able to spend money and create more jobs. Where has any manufacturing plant opened in this country without some sort of give away from the taxpayers. When the Saturn plant opened in Tennessee a few decades ago GM received about $250,000 in taxpayer freebies. When Comcast built it`s headquarters in Philadelphia the Pa. taxpayers had to ante up $30 million. Did you whine when KBR was awarded $80 million JUST IN BONUSES for work that electrocuted our soldiers in Iraq? I`m sure you were ok with that. A different administration ya know. It kind of looks like Liberals want this thread to go away ASAP.
I am not a liberal but its using dollar accounting methods which in a macro economy are kind of BS to say the least. Why talk about pink unicorn nonsense?
A good libertarian can usually make the typical republican look like an idiot so its not good to be too cocky when prevailing against liberals whose heads are stuffed with fluff.

Sometimes the point of things fly right over some people's heads....
