A 9-year-old western Pennsylvania girl is in hospital after being shot by a relative who thought she was a skunk. The little girl was outside a Halloween party wearing a black costume and a black hat with a white tassel, the Beaver County Times reports. She was hit in the shoulder, back, and neck after her relative fired his shotgun at her. Police say the relative had not been drinking and it's not clear whether he will face charges.
either that girl is very small, or skunks in that area are huge!!
I'm from Beaver County. I never saw a skunk as big as a 9 year old child, even a small one. I'd say the relative was helping himself to too much Halloween cheer!
Arn't you glad you live in a country where the right to shoot skunks and 9 year old girls is a consttutionaly protected right not just a privelege!

Well it's just a good thing he didn't have any ghosts with black faces hanging from his trees as decorations. That would have generated outrage beyond belief like it did at the St. Louis zoo. Shoot a kid in a costume eh sheet happens.

Not likely. Most people don't want to get that close to a skunk as a knife would require. Guns make it easy to take lives from a distance. Do you get it now? Guns make it easy. So easy, in the opinion of many of us, that access to that kind of power should be more regulated than it currently is in most of the U.S.
