Actually those proposals were from summer of 2011, and before that, he put together a bi-partisan panel which came up with the Bowles-Simpson plan which Paul Ryan (and other panel members) killed before taking to Congress. After killing the bi-partisan plan, Ryan wrote his own plan which was so partisan that it had ZERO chance of being accepted.
Politics as usual. Destroy all plans from your opponents, and then accuse them for not accepting your own partisan plans.
