Liberals in this country want to take from people who have earned a living and give those assets to people who have not earned it.
Liberal politicians, have successfully changed the notion of "selfishness" into something that is perceived by people who take, as "entitlement".
Why is it that with Democrats, it's selfish for someone to want to keep what they've earned?
Why is it not also selfish then, for someone to want to take it? (via left wing big government)
Isn't stealing and redistribution, SELFISH?
Either Democrats don't know what "selfish" means, or else they have managed to paint a picture of selfishness that fits their agenda. The guy who earned it is the bad guy and the guy who takes it is the good guy.

Good point-
It is selfish to steal from others. "Charity" should be voluntary, not compulsory. When it is forced, it is theft.
This democratic scheme of money for votes cannot go on forever. The treat cupboard is bare and the dems have nothing left to offer. The conservatives simply offer freedom to work or not, or be prosperous or not. The latter is what America was founded on, not handouts for bums.
Oh, not more of this "taxes are theft" nonsense. There are collective responsibilities which simply must be dealt with and to do that you need money. Also, yes, attempting to shirk your civic duties, including paying your taxes, makes you both selfish and a morally inferior person.

I find your "collectivism by violent force" position, the nonsensical one.
Taking property without permission or by coercion is theft, jus because the thief wears a government costume makes it no less immoral. Especially when the money is used to wage wars and kill others who have posed no threat to me.

Civic duty?
It is not up to Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi to determine what my "civic duty" is.
At what point do those sacrificing the most in the name of "civic responsibility" say I have paid enough?
When an individual pays more in federal income tax in one year than another will pay in all forms of tax for their life, then, is asked to pay even more, is it not acceptable to question when is enough?
It seems it is OK, as long as it is not YOUR hard earned money. Unlike the Republicans, whose money comes to them by the magical conservative fairy.
I have said it several times on this board. Calling yourself generous or charitable because you support other people paying high taxes is like saying you are brave because you support conscription for other people.
