That's funny considering the abysmal track record of dems on this. Bill Clinton donating his used underwear. Al Gore and Joe Biden donated less than I do and I am nowhere as wealthy as either. People like Romney and Sarah Palin were documented to be generous. Dick & Lynn Cheney made everyone look like a skinflint by comparison, but of course they never got any credit for it from the left. They called him 'darth vader' and piled story upon story about his shooting accident.

Silly thread title, but it was probably a pot shot at Fox for their complaints about the concert helping Obama.

Why do I see heads exploding when the mainstream republicans realize libs were more generous than them? Is this "I am more generous than them" attitude so important to you that you get upset when someone else donates too?

A live televised concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy brought in nearly $23 million, the American Red Cross and NBCUniversal said Saturday.

The one-hour, commercial-free telecast organized by NBCUniversal, "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together," included appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Jimmy Fallon, Steven Tyler, Mary J. Blige, Tina Fey, Jon Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, Danny DeVito and NBC News' Brian Williams. TODAY co-anchor Matt Lauer was host.
Did you mean libs were the only ones who were asked to donate money? Or did you mean only libs performed? Did they only ask libs to volunteer or did any conservatives turn them down?

If all those millionaires you listed each donated their own money, they could have probably accomplished the same thing. Then they could have utilized the time they spent at the concert distributing things to those in need.

Actually the article had no political comments about party. This is 100% the OP's "data point".

How sad that people view life through political glasses.
I heard republicans weren't allowed to donate or even listen to the Boss.

Hey OP..you need to contact NBC because they put that article in the entertainment section of their site, not the political section.

Our family just finished gathering jackets, sweaters, etc., plus a box of emergency blankets and a box of hand warmers that we're going to donate for distribution directly to storm victims.

What did you do? Watch a concert? You don't know the first thing about volunteering or helping people in need. YOU are the complainer. We see it every single day, right here on C-D. In fact, you're one of the most prolific complainers on the board, and you couldn't have a civil discussion if someone paid you. Nothing but virulent hate comes from your keyboard. Must burn you up inside.
