If your going to quote me, make sure you don't LIE at the same time.
The booths should just be moved to another location of the building.
Sorry guy, you were unaware of the law here and are now trying to cover for that. It's not a big deal to not be aware of every single law in the country.
I likely wouldn't have been aware if I wasn't there when a official made a person cover their t-shirt.

First off NOT a guy and very aware of the rules. EVERY Polling station I've ever voted in, ALWAYS had their booths in either the gym, cafeteria or auditorium. So my comment stands. Why do they need to cover or take down the posters? Just relocate the damn booths. Period.
Where were all you guys when my election judge had on elephant earrings, elephant print clothing and an elephant necklace?
Where were you when several people entered the polling place to vote wearing GWB t-shirts?
Wish the Republicans had been so aware of rules when their guys were running things.
Where were the photos? If you saw such things, why didn't you report them to the proper authorities? It's been 8 years since GWB ran for office so what's your opinion on the current situation?
As a liberal, I'm not going to defend this kind of stuff. It shouldn't happen. If you're a poll worker, you know the rules... if you show up wearing candidate ads, then you should be reported and removed. That giant mural with campaign slogans directly behind voting booths is ridiculous... it's not hard to hand a sheet/tarp in front of it.
Obviosuly though when you have an election in a country this size, there will be a few issues that pop up. Luckily today with the prevalence of camera phones, the issues can be recorded, immediately reported and hopefully fixed in short order.

Yes, move all the voting stations and all the other infrastructure as opposed to simply covering the mural.

There seems to be a lot of liberals here today defending Obama supporters who are violating our nation's election laws.
Actually, here's on conservative who thinks it's a huge non-issue. Puhleeeeez.....if you are swayed by a mural of Obama, that's obviously there because the voting location is a school (which is another matter, and the fact that it's there with "hope and change" is wrong. But I digress), then you are a sheep.
Yes, the law IS the law. But there is also the spirit of the law.
Somebody (elsewhere) was almost not allowed to vote because he was wearing an MIT (as in 'Massachusetts Institute of Technology') sweatshirt. (Apparently the poll worker can't spell.) But an adoring mural of Barack Obama passes muster? Gimme a break.
Is that true? If so that is too sad. How dumb has our country become anyway?
