My daughter who has Lupus,Rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid issues ,three back surgeries and a recent shoulder reconstruction is on food stamps and was fearing she would lose them under Romney. After
a conversation with her I realized that the single factor of food stamps and other medicaid support
put Mr Obama over the top? You can't make this stuff up! It was an ingenious political strategy for
future application and it worked huge!! I appreciate my daughter food stamps as it gets her through
the month. Her medicaid isn't enough for rent or living independently and with her daughter has to
find friends to live with (basements, over garages etc). We help with our minimal income.

Excuse me if I am confused and perhaps a bit harsh but...

As a father, you can't support your daughter because of your minimal income.

And because she has enough common sense to vote for the candidate who she believes will continue to provide the very programs that she needs to enjoy some modicum of an independent existence that this is some cynical plot by politicians to win votes.

Am I missing something?

Or, am I correct in detecting that your daughter has far more common sense than her father?

I was told by an Obama supporter to quit my job and live off the government because I would be better off.

This person is a free loader.

I was embarrassed for her... And that is the only reason why she voted for him. She said so... She doesn't want the free loading to end and she was afraid Romney would take away her "benefits".

Actually, the majority of the dumb, less educated, and non-productive members of society voted for Douchebag Romney.

How else do you explain all the poor illiterate states in the Deep South and Bible Belt going for Romney by double-digits, while all the high-income, gainfully employed, educated states went to Obama by landslides?

Oh please.

I am upper middle class white woman I am part of the 53%. I voted for Obama.

Enough of this baloney already. Look at the states that go red typically vs the ones that go blue. The red ones TAKE more money from their federal government than the blue. Basically the red states are the ones on "foodstamps" on a federal level.

You people need to read more.

Age bracket 45-64 have the largest percentage of registered voters..80% and 70% of them voted in 2010.
Lower age brackets are pathetic with percentages in the teens and lower 20's.

Your typical voter has some college education, owns their own home and has a salary close to 6 figures.

Your lower economic people are the least likely to vote.

I give up. I am going to become a Democrat. I may as well, Obama is going to make me lose the rest of my money so I will let him support me for the rest of my life. Food stamps all around and government money for everyone. Republicans quit paying your way and join the Democrats on the government.
