People always expect dramatic ends. A country's collapse is typically slow and painful. Increased poverty, increased tax burdens on those who are "making it". The cliff will be the point of no return, but don't expect an intensive collapse or an "in-the-moment" consciousness around when that will be. If you can't get by with hard work and sacrifice, that's an indicator.
Yeah, things are so bad in this country =
unemployment is down
economy has improved
taxes have NOT increased
bin laden in dead
no terrorist attacks
meaningful financial reforms
etc.
YEP! Such horrible stuff.
Oh....you forgot the 313 point DIP in the stock market yesterday.....and the mass sell of of stocks due to the election outcome.

It depends on who you are.... Yeah, obviously some things have been accomplished, a.k.a Bin laden
UE is NOT DOWN, those stats are twisted because most of the jobs gained are part time. So is that considered gainful employment?
The economy has improved if you are in the UAW or work for one of the big auto companies.
We have seen more money come out of my husband's paycheck in the last 4 years, our hiuse value is down almost $100k, and now, the medical sector is in HUGE trouble because of Obamacare...
Yep, getting better...

So your life is worse off financially and that means the country is worse off...that's odd logic.
Also, there are a LOT of industries outside of "big auto" that are doing very well, whether it's architecture, tech companies, telecommunications, etc. I'm a succesfull entrpreneur from the marketing and tech industries, and our industries are doing VERY well.
The medical sector isn't the ONLY sector in the country...just FYI!

The first sentence in my post was " It depends on who you ask" and if you ask me, it hasn't improved...
If you or your wife were in jeopardy of loosing your job due to Obamacare, would you say it is improving, even still?

Yes, and I am saying that THE ECONOMY is better today. THE ECONOMY referring to macroeconomic conditions in this country as expressed via a variety of economic indicators.
I agree with February 3rd at 2013 but at my arithmatic places the time at 1:27 am. The focus must
be on distribution of body bags as i have an allergy to rotting democrat carcases .
Conservatives are such pathetic loser doom and gloomers. Thank god I dont work with any of them or have these miserable creatures as friends.
