Notice how I correctly wrote the headline?

Anyway, an Austin resident is circulating a petition to secede from Texas and remain in the U.S.

If Texas secedes, Austin wants out of Lone Star State

HOOK'EM HORNS!

Austin is hipster/young people/LGBT paradise. It really doesn't belong in Texas. It is much more like a Pacific NW city.

True, Texas itself belongs in the Middle East, so Austin definitely wouldn't fit in there.

Austin is probably the most liberal city in Texas. Even more so than Dallas or Houston. They have a university there. People there actually believe the world is round and science is good. They also have all their teeth for the most part.

Austin is where loony libs from Cali go when their jobs leave Cali. However Austin isn't as enlightened as it likes to think.

What an ignorant comment. Yea, no other universities are anywhere in Texas. And Texans are nothing but dumb, ugly hicks. Have you ever even been there? Austin is a great city, and compared to the rest of Texas, pretty liberal. But they're hardly as liberal as the PNW, or anywhere in CA.

Let Austin secede. As a landlocked area, it would be pretty hard for them to travel anywhere, since they'd have to pass through Texas to get there.
