Let me get this straight. The left is saying that it's OK that democrats don't pay their taxes, and they use the excuse that there are some on the right aren't paying their taxes either. So, on the whole, it's OK all around.
Except for Joe the constituent, of course.
Who on the left is claiming this is fine? Also, those are back taxes distributed over a huge group of people all with possibly varying reasons that could be actually contested or what have you. It's still bad, but there isn't the kind of individual granularity or magnitude there was for someone who was running for POTUS. It's bad in all directions and partially why that bill doing audits of sort on government employees was put in place so there is recourse for the IRS to both publicize and go after anyone who is delinquent. It's akin to making it so everyone in federal employee gets an audit of sorts.

I am wondering if there is a record of this somewhere. How do you discover that someone does not pay the IRS? If there is a record and this is public knowledge this needs to be brought before congress. Things like this need to be stopped and certainly a law put forth that would prevent them from getting any more of public money when they don't pay up themselves.
The aides are paid to do a job and might not necessarily be loyal to a party (like an IT guy working for a branch or some such is not necessarily going to be a member of the party). The reason why we know about this stuff was actually part of a bill that was passed purposely to actually do a government self-check by doing a sort of audit on all federal employees. Now let's get them backtaxes and get some real necessary work funded. M I RITE?
Although ABC brought up this part in January the media forgot to mention it ever again when Obama went after Romney for his returns. It is very interesting to see how other employees of the federal government owe so much. For instance, 413 people in the EPA owe over $19 million. That figures out to over $46K for each person, on the average.
You see this is why Democrats are so eager to raise taxes, they don’t pay them anyway!
Don't waste your keystrokes. It has been medically proven that Liberals have an area of the brain that is impenetrable to any form of logic, reason, common sense or anything anti-Obama.
"The Federal Employee/Retiree Delinquency Initiative (FERDI) program was developed in 1993 to promote federal tax compliance among current and retired federal employees. The program incorporates the purpose and intent of Office of Government Ethics regulation 5 C.F.R.2635.809, which addresses the responsibility of federal employees to "satisfy in good faith their obligations as citizens, including all just financial obligations, especially those such as federal, state or local taxes that are imposed by law."
So these reports have been issued since the Clinton administration, inclusive of all 8 years of the Bush administration, and suddenly these delinquencies are Obama's fault, or the exclusive domain of people in the Obama administration?
Do you have any idea how utterly ridiculous that is?
So yeah, some of us have a real problem with the invention of fake outrages to pin on President Obama by people who are simply anti-Obama and not pro-facts or common sense.

It's really not a huge group of people but the amount sure is significant for a group that small.

And some of us have a real problem with people defending tax cheats just because it's not a new phenomena.
And some people are just pro Obama and not pro facts or common sense.
Owing back taxes and being delinquent are not the same. They could be sending the IRS a monthly check as many people do. Many Jobs for the state and federal government require tax compliance.
