I have no problem with someone expressing their belief..........but when wants to take that Christian
belief away, then it's a problem. Thankfully I know a few Atheist's that find other Atheists who want to do away with Christmas "Scrooges"
Seems to be a few Scrooges appearing on this thread.......
How can an atheist take away your belief by putting up a separate display? Is your belief that weak?

Yes, I think it is. They're 80% of the American population and spend the most time crying about being persecuted. Deep down, they know it's just hocus pocus so the lash out in an attempt to silence anyone who doesn't share their delusion.

Atheists have ruined everything that once America used to be. What to they want from us?
Christmas is a national holiday, and keep CHRIST in CHRISTMAS. 80% of Americans are Christians, and 96% celebrate the holiday. Respect it!
Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ. Anyone who deny it are Anti-Christians, and wants to be arrogance.
Get a grip..You're free to put up your little dolls and whatnot whenever you want on private property. This IS NOT a xian nation.
Is it me or does the ginned-up outrage over this non-existent war on Christmas begin earlier and earlier each year?
Side story:
A couple of days ago at work, a co-worker was playing President Obama's recently-released Happy Diwali message (it had been e-mailed around to us from one of our Mumbai colleagues). Another co-worker, this one quite indignant, piped up and said: "Just wait until December 25th! You can bet your life you won't see any Merry Christmas from this President!". Whereupon I youtube'd President Obama's 2011 Merry Christmas message. Then his 2010 Merry Christmas message. At this point, my no-longer-indignant co-worker quietly conceded the point.
Someone should do a fake Ken Burns-style documentary on this fake "War on Christmas."
Like have a grizzled old actor voicing an haggard soldier recanting the battles of the war:
"The first casualties in this infernal war were when they took down the nativity scene at the town square--but things didn't get really bad until we marched into a Target and saw a sign saying "Happy Holidays" instead "Merry Christmas". It was only mid-November but a lot of good men didn't return from that Target superstore with tinsel or cheap Chinese-made ornaments as their shame at losing the battle was too great. War truly is hell..."
Just remember: the same people claiming there is a "War on Christmas", are the same exact people who still think Obama's birth certificate is a forgery and that Flip-Flop Romney was going to win in a landslide.
Keep that in mind when you listen to these loons.
Of course, you read the link before you answered. I think you are just like the rest of the leaners who have made noise on this thread without reading the link to know what is involved. Am I wrong about you?
It's only fair, you learn well from your christian friends.
That would be funny, though - going off on someone wishing you a merry xmas.
No one cares that much here in Germany.
I can't stand this time of year; it's so awful. Wall-to-wall Christmas everywhere. It's an assault on the senses. You can't escape it unless you turn off the TV/radio and never leave the house. Even at work they decorate the place for xmas and have xmas lunches. There's nothing really WRONG with any of this...it's not my holiday and I think it's actually a stupidly expensive one that has been ruined by crass commercialism, but whatever...but it's just so intensely saturated over a period of a couple of months that it really does wear you down. It becomes annoying when you've heard these songs for the 100th time in a row as you walk through a store festooned with Christmas crap when all you're trying to do is get a damn pair of socks or some deodorant and the place is just jam-packed with people buying a whole bunch of crap they don't need...and it drags on for week after insufferable week.
I will say this though...the coupons get awesome this time of year. That's about the only positive thing.
