On another note, what happened to the excess inventory of homes from the last downturn?

Looks like much of it has been sold. More good news

"The current inventory represents a 5.4-month supply at the current sales pace, the lowest since February 2006 – before the housing boom peaked and the market crashed."

Home sales up, inventory down: good for home prices and for builders - CSMonitor.com

The only odor you smell is that of the corrupt communist now in office. He is stinking the country up..! Hopefully it will eventually be the smell of decomposition...

America is not coming back. Her best days are well behind her. We are in decline. How we manage it is what matters. We will not fail but we will never be what we were either. I am sure people in England also say "Great Britain is coming back" too. But the fact is that it is not ever going to be the undisputed leader of the world that it once was.

It's best to ignore idiots like him. They are full of hate and rage over something they cannot control. Its stupid and childish.

Which is still 700,000.00 below what is considered healthy. Single family home starts are down as well as building permits which speak to the future of construction

Hopefully this keeps up. Many are hoping that this Country fails now but our spirit is strong.

What money did people buy these homes with? Many in the middle class have lost their wealth from the the 2008 downturn, so it can't be from savings. More debt, i suspect. How is more leveraging a good thing?
