What will republicans do? two POPULAR democratic presidents, and NO popular living republican presidents.

Plus it would be ONE MORE Obama victory against republicans!!

i think it is more likely that obama will become one of the most unpopular presidents in our lifetime-and he is already unpopular with about half of the voting population.

either taxes go up, or spending goes down, or both.

or he is in denial and does nothing, and the whole thing could collapse.

if debt and printing money do wind up creating prosperity and happiness in america, there will only be the democratic party standing.

but i doubt it.

on a side note, clinton had a republican congress and obama doesn't.

Clintons popularity was a result of him bowing down to the Majority house leader Newt Gingrich.

Clinton actually did a lot to set the stage for the housing bubble. He was a staunch ally of Fannie CEO James Johnson, who set Fannie on the course that ended in disaster. Not to mention he got rid of Glass Steagal, which some people have said made the crisis much worse than it otherwise might have been.

I always like to say, Bill Clinton was our best REPUBLICAN president since Eisenhower.

If Obama can get a grand bargain deficit deal, immigration reform, keep the country safe, and the economy improves, he will end his term on good terms with the American public. I'm sure some in the GOP plan on making sure Obama doesn't have a productive second term for political reasons, though.

Good luck on that one.

When Obama leaves office there will be OADI trust fund exhaustion, OASI further in the hole, HI Trust Fund exhausted, $22 - $25 trillion national debt and Obamacare cost employers 25% more than it would have cost to employ people in 2005. By the way, it's already 16.8% more expensive to employ someone as opposed to 2005.

It won't matter though, liberals will just move the goal posts again.

At best the President will prolong the day of reckoning just long enough for someone else to take the fall.

You think he's going to suck $600 billion a year out of the economy and no one will notice?
