I sure hope I Won, You Lost never pardons me since one year doesn't sound like a lot. I do think that the death panel (15 appointed people) will do me in in the end, though.
A Death Panel is a sensationalized name for a group of unelected people, who get together to decide if the cost of the care you need to extend your life, is worth spending for the (possibly limited) extension of life you might get out of it.

Something like this is inevitable given the intense need to control costs, and given that already 30% of medicare dollars go to treat those in the last year of life. I think many people would do this voluntarily--I know I would--but with socialized health care that doesn't work. Nobody's going to do it voluntarily, since other peoples' money pays the bill. So it will have to be done coercively.
