And the GOP wonders why blacks and hispanics vote overwhelmingly Democrat.

If by any freak chance Rubio ends up on the GOP ticket in 2016, he will go the way of Allen West and Mia Love, and the Dems will take 400 electoral votes. Bank on it.

Not only will the extremists within the GOP claim he's not ineligible to run for the Presidency because of the birth issue, but he'll be deemed unacceptable because it's widely whispered about that ... he's on the "DL."

If the Republican Part goes farther to the right the will not win in 2016. But 400 electoral votes is a bit of a over-reach. They are still the dominant party in the South, the Great Plains and the Inter-mountain West.

If the Republican Party continues on its current trajectory it will be destroyed by it's own fear, hate, ignorance and bigotry

It is a shame that the Republican Party would want to treat Marco Rubio this way, from what I have seen from the man, he is a strong Republican who brings a level of fiscal conservatism to their party that they so desperately need.

I think you have been living in Germany too long;;;this isn't news, it has been an issue for over a year and posted here as well as other places several times. Did you check the date on the article? Obviously not plus you say, the birthers are saying he is not a citizen, no one has said that. A few might be questioning whether he is a natural citizen, which is diferent. BTW, Mia Love almost won and Allen West barely lost. If it hadn't been for redistricting he would not have. Would you like to try discussing something new and something that is honestly debatable, not just a bunch of garbage.????

For Gods sake you guys, get a life. First of all, we have 3 plus years before we will even have a real race for the White House, at this time he is still the number one pick by the party and he isn't being overlooked by anyone nor is the party treating any way but positively....Oh, there are a few who do not like him, so what is new? No candidate has the support of his/her entire party, but overall, especially the insiders do support him. Will this be the case in 2015 who knows? A lot can happen..It is like saying do the Democrats support Hillary and will they 3 years from now? Of course, right now she is their queen on the hill and she may remain there, or she may come toubling down. When are people going to realize today is one day, 3 years from now is many days away?

Its now extreme to want to make sure the people dictating policies to us are actual Citizens? Interesting...I think the extremists are the fools who accept whatever they are told without doing any research.

Marco Rubio was born in this nation, so he is a citizen. Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal Become Focus Of Bipartisan Birthers

Marco Rubio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If the GOP keeps up the extremist mentality, they will never win another election. The writing is on the wall. Hispanics and Asians voted for President Obama is very high numbers, as did African-Americans. If the GOP keeps this up, this will drive away even more Hispanic and Asian voters. You would thing the Republican Party would come up with a better strategy than this.
