As good as the best stuff is, it still breaks if you use it a lot. Professionals need a brand they can't trust and count on. Made in China crap "ain't" it!

I only collect old Craftmans hand tools. Probably have about $10,000 worth if had to replace separately.

In 2009 and 2010 with the crash there was a HUGE flood onto the swap meet and garage sale markets.

Pretty soon, everything will be made in China, and the only way to find good quality tools will be to hit elderly folks garage sales

I tell my nephews that they get everything I own and it's in my will. If they sell it or hock it off...I'll come back from the grave and haunt them until the end of their days.

Because lifetime tools, Snap-On, Mac, Cornwell were made well and lasted longer than even the early Japanese tools did, and had no hassle replacement policies, like Craftsman did.

Only a mechanic knows the value of quality tools. Quality tools don't cost, they pay.

Now that's an almost complete tool cabinet, the only thing missing is the Mercedes Benz muffler belt tensioner wrench.

If they're made so well and last so long they shouldn't need lifetime warranty.

Damn...really?

The warranty is the guarantee that the tool is what they say it is. If they know they're selling junk, they won't be so quick to back it with such a generous warranty.

YOu pay for the warranty in the price of the tool. They know that only a small percentage will ever even take advantage of the warranty. Then they add in made in the usa to get folks to pound their chest while they bye it and walla. This lawsuit is showing you it's not what they say it is or did you forget to read what this thread was even about to begin with?
