We owe it to him to get him out because he is an American citizen that appears to be being railroaded by this POS Mehican government and his life is in danger. Not because he was a Marine.
Go in and TAKE him out.... That douche in the White House doesn't have the stones. Reagan would have and DID....
You should learn to appreciate our men in uniform, current and retired.
You should learn that other countries have different laws people should be aware of and that I have no interests to lobby for people who break them. Also **** off with the whole "appreciate the soldiers" crap. I judge people on how they are as individuals, not as some group that leeches off of government money in their own ivory tower thinking the world should kiss their asses because they spent 4 years doing the federal government's dirty work.
He breaks the laws of another country while in that country and he should get a pass because he is a marine why?
Let me suggest to the rest of you leaners, since meson doesn't read my posts, that McClatchy said "the man was charged with a serious crime: possession of a weapon restricted for use to Mexico's armed forces."
Now Hammar is sitting in a prison run by the Zetas, one of the most dangerous of the Mexican cartels, and is seemingly getting no reply from the government that represents him.
The best part of the article is that the barrel of the over 60 year old shot gun was less than 25 inches long. I wonder how many here know that the shorter the barrel the wider the pattern up close and the longer the less the shot gets spread out. Also, some could be a bit educated if they knew just how dangerous a 410 shotgun is compared to heavier shot. I wonder who measured that barrel and from where on the gun they did their measuring.
Save your spiel. Mexico is an ally and key trading partner. We need their cooperation in the issue with the drug cartels.
The fact you right wing morons with you hard ons for Reagan and his horrible policies think that we can intervene anywhere without backlash is laughable.
How many hitches in Iraq and Afghanistan did you serve? Just wondering since you think the world revolves around those who don't serve.
None, because I have better things to do with my time than waste it in countries where we are not wanted and essentially serve no purpose but to increase the hatred for us overseas and destabilize the region.

Should have been legal. It only has to be 18" here in the States.
I see reading comprehension still isn't your strong point, eh roy?
Which of the two links did you take the time to read? Neither, I am sure, since your post tipped your hand so completely. It is hard to comprehend what you never read, isn't it?
In my experience there are also signs on the international bridges. The truck driver was released a week or so ago - about 6 months after his imprisonment. The US gov't worked to get him out and are undoubtedly doing the same for this Marine.
