Math you might be right though, many ways to go with a math degree.
Why would companies invest in a country with such a pitiful showing in the hard sciences? Plenty of other countries with proficient workers, and their labor rates are often a fraction of ours. If America isn't even going to try, it's no surprise jobs are hard to come by in the fields, and don't pay particularly well.

Math and sciences in the suburbs are also below standards. Suburban areas trend conservative, news to me, the failure has been bipartisan,

There are companies looking for workers in the US, those positions are going unfilled because HS grads do not have the tehcnical skills, engineering positions are being imported from foreign countries because we do not have the grads.

That's because schools here would rather teach students how to use condoms, get an abortion, and learn LGBT history and how much of an evil, environmentally destructive human they are besides learning math and science.

It's an decades old problem. The US schooling system relies on standardized testing even for the smallest kids, and it simply does not work. The countries leading the pack, like Finland, do not rely on tests, and instead let the teachers run the schools, and being a teacher is a respected profession.

The EDU system which ensured our place on the lower rungs of the ladder of knowledge now plan to extend the school year to solve the problem.

Any state who allows the school year to be extended is beyond hope and the perfect dupe for the NEA and its state organizations.

If math and science scores improved the EDU would be challenged to defend their incompetence and ancient rituals such as tenure.

The u.s. has always been behind in science, and math scores. People need to stop acting like this is a new phenomenon.

The Associated Press: US students far from first in math, science

"Even where U.S. student scores have improved, many other nations have improved much faster, leaving American students far behind many of their peers — especially in Asia and Europe.
With an eye toward global competitiveness, U.S. education officials are sounding the alarm over what they describe as a recurring theme when American students are put to the test. Lamenting what he described as "sober cautionary notes," Education Secretary Arne Duncan said it was unacceptable that eighth-grade achievement in math and science are stagnant, with U.S. students far less likely than many Asian counterparts to reach advanced levels in science.
"If we as a nation don't turn that around, those nations will soon be out-competing us in a knowledge-based, global economy," Duncan said."

What do you expect with fools wanting young earth creationism to be taught in schools?

Funny how some people turn every issue into a tool which can be used to attack the faith, or political preference of other posters.
