Now this I like to see. This is a feel good story. The U.S. Marine who did two tours of duty took it upon himself to go down to the local elementary school to give them the satisfaction of feeling safe and secure. This could be a trend setter. Marine Sgt. Craig Pusley said:
'he wanted to make the kids feel safe in light of what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary,'
'When I enlisted, I swore to defend this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic,' Sgt. Pusley said.
'I just want to be sure all these kids go home safe for Christmas.'
We should ALL appreciate this Marine for his service to his country and I hope more servicemen across the country follow his footsteps by volunteering to stand guard outside their local grade schools.
I seriously doubt that a person in a military uniform standing outside the doors to their school made the children feel safer. My guess is it scared the crap out of most of them.
It seems the principal, teachers, and the children's parents feel it IS making them feel safer, based upon the responses he has gotten.
How about the National Guard of your State maintains a guard post at every school during school hours. And they don't dress in their military uniform. They wear some kind of a school uniform so they don't influence the children. They just maintain their post and watch the cameras.
How about it be duty for good conduct? The last 6 months or 9 months of your enlistment you get to do school guard duty and then an honorable discharge?
That's pretty good you have quite a head on your shoulders just make sure the soldiers dress in civilian clothing and not military outfits " also they would have to have on body armour also " doing this for the
last 9 months of theirs tour would help them adjust to civilian life a lot better too.
Aren't you the intelligent one. Duh. Speaking of "idiots"! LOL!
