Intent doesn't matter.

If we are truly worried about lives, we should eliminate what kills the most.

Intent is irrelevant.

These "cretins" are NOT going to give up their guns. I don't suggest you pick a fight with them. The line has been drawn in the sand. Now is the time for calm rational discussions on the matter. Extremism on both sides are not productive. If push came to shove, the anti-gun people will lose and lose badly. Wisdom is in order here.

Here's a thought. If all you use your gun for is to "kill paper" then why not get a pair of scissors instead of a gun.

I guess cars as much more dangerous than the threat of terrorism as well... We should stop worrying so much about terrorism...

No, it's not critical thinking, it's a dumb argument. Millions of people drive cars everyday and don't get killed.

How many people shoot a gun at another person on a daily basis and don't injure or maim them?

The car argument is like saying we should close hospitals because so many people die in them every day. Only in the stunted intellects of gun nuts is this "critical thinking".

So when the cretins don't hear what they want, they will make threats.

Good people, these gun nuts.

My car is not a weapon.

Though, like anything really, it CAN be a weapon.

However, since the ownership of my car is regulated on so many fronts - from licensure, to registration, to banning certain types of vehicles, to inspection in many states - perhaps the OP can get behind more regulation?

After all, the 2nd Amendment protects a WELL REGULATED militia. Not grown man-children who play with guns to make them feel like men.
