I've heard people say they feel more comfortable with similar doctors. Some women prefer female obstetricians, some men. There is no right or wrong. But if you have a preference- state why it is you have that preference and defend it.

I am okay with a doctor of any race, however I will only see a female GYN.

I like my Doctor's to look like that guy that landed the Airplane in the Hudson.

Older Japanese dudes with names like Nakanishi will work as well. LOL

Don't care about race but I generally prefer same-sex just to avoid any potential social awkwardness. I've been hit on by a doctor before which was annoying.
