I think 2008 was notable not only because of the election of the first election of a non-white president, but will also go down in history as being the final year america has a white president.

Consider...

-63% of america is non hispanic white (officially)

-49% of babies born are non-hispanic white

When those last years babies reach the average age (c35 years old) that will be the latest point there will still be a white majority. However, in reality, it will probably happen sooner than that, as the large white boomer demographic dies off, and largely non-white immigration also accelerates. Its probably no more than 10 years before non-hispanic whites are a minority. Add in the amnesty which will probably show little more than 55% of america is already NHWhite

93% of non-whites vote Obama and will probably never vote for a white candidate given the opportunity to vote for a non-white candidate.

The only way i can see a white president being elected is if the dems and repubs were to conspire to give non-white voters no choice and propose two white candidates.

Seriously? The repubs know they need a decent non-white vote to gain power, so they Can NEVER have a white leader again. The Dems will never allow themselves to be upstaged by the repubs in this manner so also will have no choice but to propose a non white candidate.

Sorry, but His Majestic O'Bomba hasn't lent a lot of credibility to the ethnic cause. There certainly will be other 'white' Presidents but may be more of an ethnic influence in the process and/or results. That is, if the Constitution survives this progressive push.

I am beginning to wonder if after this jerk gets re-inaugurated if there'll be any white posters left in P&OC.

Ridiculous. Minorities aren't only voting for Obama because of race, they also voted heavily Democratic before he came on the scene. If the Republicans put forward Herman Cain and the Democrats put forward a Bill Clinton, Bill Clinton would get plenty of votes from non-whites. Fact is, people who become presidents are those who have had lots of opportunities, and people from white families that make up the historic elite will continue to have advantages that will help them reach the halls of power in numbers enough that some will be very capable and popular and end up on the ballot. People will vote for strong candidates who appeal to them and they will get elected.

Also, why do you exclude Hispanic whites? How are they not white?

It may well be the last year that the US has a republican president. It is not unthinkable that the republicans will fail to elect a president for a generation or more unless they change their image and policies. But there will be white democrats to come.
