After I was done puking, I held out hope that he would turn out to be a reasonable, competent, moderate leader. Those hopes were dashed many times. What a disaster.
Relieved that the world was spared from having Sarah Palin be apart of any real decision making. I also chuckled at the butthurt republicans who really thought McCain would win which was repeated again in 12' thanks to fox"news".

I was happy because we need a change from the Republicans who had been at the helm of botched wars and economies.
The Democrats were in full control of Congress from 2007-2011, the economy was botched on their watch, and one of the wars for which they voted was escalated by President Obama through drone attacks, while the other war was ended by President Bush.
President has all of the agencies which investigate, submit reports and make recommendations at his insistence. Leader is always in charge. Credit for success. Blame for failure. We hold Obama to the same standard hence all the earned criticism of him now.
